The Writing & Yoga Staycations follows the creative path down the chakras:

💜 Crown - Get Inspired

Trust the crown, write it down. As you collect your early thoughts in a document the seed of the book is planted. The crown chakra connects you to infinite inspiration like a flower that continues to unfold with thousands upon thousands of petals. At this stage the goal is to accumulate raw material so you gain confidence that this is an idea in which you want to invest a lot of energy.

🧿 Third eye - Create your Vision

Once you build some momentum with the inspiration from the crown chakra, you naturally begin to dream about the impact this idea will have. This chakra enhances your ability both to fantasize and to plan. It’s time to harness your vision and command it into a concrete strategy. Here you get excited about the dream for your book, and you also create a solid outline that becomes the map forward.

💙 Throat - Use your Voice

Say what you need to say. The throat chakra is the energy center of truth. Repressing your voice is poisonous, but honestly expressing yourself purifies you. Jot down your most authentic prose without censoring yourself. Explore what makes your voice unique. There will be time to edit later.

💚 Heart - Love the Process

The heart chakra generates energy for significant, intimate relationships. Here you fall in love with the creative process and make writing a regular habit and make time for your creativity. In the heart chakra the ephemeral scribblings of the upper chakras integrate with the material realities of the lower chakras.

💛 Solar Plexus - Edit & Go Pro

Now it’s time to “go pro” and edit. The solar plexus is the center of willpower. You exercise this chakra when you follow through despite any challenges and polish your book into the lustrous gem it was always meant to be.

🧡 Sacral - Publish (Birth your Book)

This is where we birth (ahem, publish) your book. The sacral chakra is located in the lower abdomen or the womb in women. Finally, all of the inspiration and vision you planted in the initial seed bears fruit.

❤️ Root - Grow your Audience

Powerful audience growth reaches out like the roots of a tree. The physics is similar to that of skyscrapers or, well, plants. The root chakra model for book launching provides a strong foundation that infuses your marketing efforts with soulful vitality. This is where the book grows legs so it can continue to prosper well into the future.

It’s a fun and easy way to get started and learn more about every stage of writing a book!

But don’t just take my word for it. Hear some of the things the women who already done this had to say…

Emily helps you get through the blocks that stop you from finishing your book.

My biggest problem was understanding how to finish my book. I kept on writing new books instead of seeing the whole process through. I had started writing several books and really wanted to start my journey as an author, but had no idea what was preventing me from making it happen.

Emily really understands the journey a creative person goes through when they are trying to transform ideas into a book that someone can read, understand and enjoy. Emily helps you get through the blocks that stop you from finishing your book. Now, I see what was blocking me and all that’s involved in the book writing process.

Emily’s program is very easy to incorporate into a busy schedule and not get overwhelmed.

I’m a mother of an 8 and 12-year-old, work full-time, chauffeur for all kid activities, and attempt to have a life of my own as well. Emily’s coaching program is very easy to incorporate into a busy schedule and not get overwhelmed. I went from thinking about writing all the time, but never acting on it, to being driven to write. The exercises have also been great to help get to the root of the storyline.
